Mrs. Howell's Page
My name is Holly Howell and I currently teach high school math at Mount Ayr. After graduating from Mount Ayr High School I continued my education at Graceland University where I graduated with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Social Sciences. I went back to Graceland two more times for an endorsement in 5-12 Special Education and then a Master of Education degree in Differentiated Instruction.
I started my teaching career with Lamoni Community Schools. During my 15 years there I spent most of my time teaching 6-8 grade math, but I also taught some high school math classes and 6-12 special education as well. I left Lamoni to come back home to Mount Ayr where I am currently teaching high school math classes. My teaching responsibilities during my time at Mount Ayr have included Math Lab, Algebra 1, Advanced Algebra, Geometry, Euclidean Geometry, Algebra 2, and PreCalculus.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, reading, hunting, chauffeuring my children to their activities, doing math, and playing with sharp objects, primarily in the form of embroidery.
